Oh Angie, I hope those Radwegs are repaired!

On July 23 we set off for another bike ride, this time 2,500kms around Germany.

We are following rivers in the main, beginning at Nierstein on the Rhein, riding to Wesel before we branch off on the Roman Route. We finish our north-bound ride at Emden, or close to it, by following the Ems River route.

After that we are riding the Weser River from Bremen to Gottingen, then a few detours along the Fairytale Route, taking in Hamelin and other towns of Grimm fascination.

A day on the Pegnitz and Vils respectively, before riding the Danube from Regensburg to Ulm. From there we ride the Neckar up to Mannheim, rejoin the Rhein and end where we began.

There are 8 beginning this ride, and 5 doing the whole distance.

The Golden Rat on the bridge crossing the River Weser at Hamelin.
